Osteopathy
Joyaa Antares
Osteopathy is a well-established approach to healthcare, based on a unique system of clinical diagnosis and manual treatment. It is a very safe form of treatment and uses no drugs.
We assess your symptoms in relation to you and your medical history, any previous accidents or injuries you may have had, your occupation, sports and hobbies, as well as your diet and your emotional wellbeing.
We use our hands to investigate the underlying causes of pain, and carry out treatment using a wide variety of hands-on techniques. A caring approach and attention to the needs of the individual is a characteristic of our Osteopaths and is important throughout the treatment we provide.
Our treatment techniques are adapted to each person at each visit. We are skilled and trained to use muscle or connective tissue stretching, rhythmic joint movements, muscle energy technique, cranial osteopathic techniques, joint manipulation, positional release and other gentle release techniques.
Osteopathic techniques can be used to affect not only your joints and muscles, but can also be gently applied to help the internal organs, by improving the blood flow around them, and we find that often your general energy levels benefit too.
Osteopathy has one of the best safety records of any medically related profession. We at Gold Coast Osteopathy are trained to recognise conditions that might make osteopathic treatment inadvisable, and in such cases we will refer you for appropriate medical attention.
Our clients come from all ages and many walks of life. Their problems range from colic and unsettledness in newborn babies to arthritic aches and pains in the elderly. For more information, follow the link for Gold Coast Osteopathy
